Preparations
2013-08-11 18:49
for my virtual camel 'Leila' are nearly finished.
A tow bar to my car. I now have to get a float to pick her up and drive her around.

The plumber installed an electric pump and connected the water trough to the tank behind the shed.

The 1.6 m fence for the 1 hectar paddock.

The fencer left over 6 poles. I asked him to put them behind the shed. There I constructed a little shed for storing hay and fire wood.

Not really laser levelled and at right angles -

but who cares? It's my personal work for the last 4 weeks and I'm pretty proud of my achievement.

For the first time he went out for the whole night. The indication that's time to get desexed.
The delinquent deep asleep.
The tools necessary for the intervention.
To have a closer look at the procedure go to 'comment' (not suitable for the faint-hearted).

Walk of Fame
2013-07-07 16:14
I do not need the Hollywood Boulevard - I have my own 'Walk of Fame'. You want to have a look?

Here we are:

On Friday concrete for my carport has been delivered and I was asked not to walk on it for 2 days. I tried to convince the animals too but they had to explore the new stuff. All of them.
Clare:
Sobby:
and the chickens:
Speechless.

Simon's cat = My cat

Not funny at all! Exact the way Sobby is acting when I try to get my seedlings into the soil:

Only 135 to go (out of 885).

Dreamtime
2013-02-18 12:17
Now I'm getting crazy. Really crazy. Perhaps I will end up in a psychiatric hospital but when I saw this advertisement I instantly fall in love - again.

"We have 2 camels for sale...."
One of the reasons emigrating to Australia was having my own camel and walking through the desert - like Oodnadatta or Birdsville Track. But my brain always told me to let it be. I'm an old woman and in foreseeable time I will suffer from age-based handicaps. And a camel will live much longer than me. But seeing this picture all my emotions came back. I want a camel. I will get a camel. Not this one in the advertisement. But one from the abattoir. 2 hours drive away is a place where feral camels are slaughtered for the meat market. There I will get my 'Leila' and I will raise her, train her and then do a trip through the desert.

I call her 'Tusnelda'
2013-02-14 19:05
but I was not able to take a picture yet. She is roaming around the watertank and she is very fast. And obviously she is not the only one.

One condition
2013-02-10 16:55
regarding the visa application:

"4 recent passport sized photographs (45mm x 35mm)
of yourself and any other person included in the
application. These should be of the head and shoulders
only, and should show the person facing the camera
and against a plain background. You should print the
name of the person on the back of each photograph."

Somehow like this (they didn't mention the ears):
