Today I received the ticket for the horse race in Adelaide.



A condition for the entrance: Race dress attire (... not permitted: tracksuits, pullovers, parkas, duffle coats, t-shirts, ...). I only possess a pair of jeans and t-, sweat- and polo shirts. And my surgical gown (= second skin). I don't know what to do. Perhaps I will sell the ticket.

but that would be a good reason to get some suiting wardrobe - if you choose something you can wear on other occasions as well, would that not be an excuse? maybe you want to go to an exhibition or the opera or something like that. now you made this effort to spend the money on the ticket, you really should go there. so: second effort: buy something you can wear there (and do not forget a suiting hat ...).
